Inside Insight: The Founding Story is a film about the early days of IMS and how this revered Buddhist meditation retreat center came into being. Made in partnership with long-time yogis Eddie and Jan Hauben and filmmakers Joe and Elizabeth Seamans, the documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the discovery and creation of IMS's How IMS began. In 1975, a group of young teachers - Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield - decided to start a meditation retreat center. Having traveled and taught around the country the previous year, they recognized the value and support that a dedicated facility would provide. So the search began for a suitable environment.
