Taff Trail. The Taff Trail is a mainly traffi c free, 55 mile route that takes in the sights of Wales' vibrant capital before heading to the cradle of the Industrial Revolution and ending in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Passing through a string of small towns, the Taff Trail also offers a healthy, pleasant and low-cost way to Mobility Buggy. Public Toilets. The Taff Trail runs for 55 miles between Cardiff and Brecon along a mixture of riverside paths, railway paths and forest roads. In Cardiff, the Taff Trail starts in Cardiff Bay and follows the river through Grangetown, Sophia Gardens, Pontcanna Fields, Hailey Park, Forest Farm to Tongwynlais near Castell Coch. The Trail continues North ending Start: Taffs Well Roundabout. End: North end of Glan-y-Ffordd. Distance: 1.34 miles (approx) The Taffs Well section of the Taff Trail runs from the roundabout where the A470 and A4054 meet up to the Glan-y-Llyn fields.
