To understand what the application's CPU threads are doing outside of CUDA function I am compiling programs using MS Visual Studio 2008. However, all programs have the statement 'Application timeline is required for the analysis' when I try to run the Nvidia Visual Profiler. I have left only one CPU thread that creates/destroy cuContexts in my app, I have checked "Start execution with profiling" and "Enable concurrent kernel" (since I am using streams). I also tried to do synch reads from the device. I have setuped Visual Profiler with path to my .exe file.
