LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is closing eastbound I-94 at the Liberty Road bridge to make emergency repairs following a high load strike that caused extensive damage to the bridge earlier this week. This $252,000 emergency project was awarded to Toebe Construction LLC to remove the damaged beams under the Liberty Road bridge, which was built in 1956.
