Deganwy城跡スコットランド

The fort and castle were damaged and rebuilt many times. It burned after being hit by lightning in 812. In the 11th century Deganwy Castle was owned by the Norman lord Robert of Rhuddlan. He died after leaving the castle's safety to attack Welshmen, who had used boats to raid the local area. In 1252 King Henry III granted a licence for A letter sent from Deganwy during Henry's 1254 campaign, preserved by Matthew Paris, tells vividly of the hardships and lack of food in the castle. Prisoners were slaughtered on both sides and the heads of Welshmen were brought back to the castle as trophies after each successful sortie. It lies in the Creuddyn Peninsula alongside Llandudno (to the north) and Rhos-on-Sea (to its east).
