If your insurance requires a referral, please contact your Primary Care Physician You may continue to drink clear liquids until midnight. Part 2. Four and a half hours before your colonoscopy on the day of your procedure: Drink an 8-ounce glass of bowel preparation every 10 minutes for a total of 8 glasses. Fifteen minutes later, drink an 8-ounce glass of clear liquids every 15 minutes for a total of 2 glasses. 4-liter containers of GoLYTELY®, Colyte® or generic version until the solution reaches the top line of the container. Mix to dissolve. Refrigerate. It will taste better cold. Third dose At 4 pm: Begin drinking the the GoLYTELY®, Colyte® or generic version. Every 15-30 minutes, drink 1 glass (about 8 ounces), until half of the container is empty 5 PM: Drink the entire prep (all 4 liters) the night before. Mix the GoLytely with water as directed and keep it chilled in the refrigerator. Start drinking an 8 oz glass of the GoLytely every 20-30 minutes until you have consumed the entire bottle (4 liters).
