A world-famous pottery kiln has been granted permission to be converted into an eco home. Wenford Bridge Pottery, located at St Breward on the edge of Bodmin Moor, operated from 1939-2005 and Summary. The Camel trail is predominantly flat for it's entire length, making it ideal for families and less experienced cyclists, and also very beneficial for the less mobile and disabled. As a multi-use trail you can expect to see walkers, joggers, cyclists, and horse-riders. Bike hire is available at Wenfordbridge to take you on this truly tranquil stretch of the Camel Trail to the picturesque Helland Bridge, a 14th century medieval bridge. Look out for the history on your route, such as the Wenford Dries which you can see through the foliage at Wenfordbridge and The Camel Trail route will skirt the side of old china clay works, called the Wenford Dries. The china clay was the main reason the railway was built in the first place. Shortly after, you will see the delightful, off-grid Snail's Pace café. The Camel Trail offers one of the best options in north Cornwall for a long, easy, off-road run. The multi-use trail runs along a former rail line for ~17 miles from Padstow to Wenford Bridge. There's a wonderful combination of scenery in the different sections.
