NiChrome vs Kanthal at the same Ohms? I've been reading around the interwebs about Ni80 as opposed to KA1. From what I've been reading, it is obvious that Ni80 heats up faster than KA1 at the SAME number of wraps (due to lower resistance). However, what I am not finding is whether Ni80 heats up faster at the same OHMS as KA1? Both Kanthal and Nichrome are high temperature wires.
