It was clear from the opening plenary of IHRFG's 2016 conference that those of us working to protect human rights are increasingly feeling the impact of recent world events on our personal lives. It was this weight that motivated speakers to change a planned discussion on sustaining funding for human rights work and instead tell personal stories of how they came to this field, which in turn The Astraea Foundation will sponsor two sessions on Wednesday, July 18th at the 2012 International Human Rights Funders Group (IHRFG) Conference in New York City. "The IHRFG began in 1994 as a group of U.S. foundations with "International Human Rights On July 13-14 the International Human Rights Funders Group (IHRFG) held their annual conference at NYU School of Law. The two-day event, titled "Human Rights in the Digital Age: Mobilizing Freedom, Repressing Dissent," was hosted by the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice.
