Things to do. A guide to Quebec's Saguenay Fjord. The 235-kilometre-long Saguenay Fjord, in Parc National du Fjord-du-Saguenay is not super well known and not well explored, either. That means big nature and few tourists at this beautiful national park in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean area of Quebec. The surrounding area is rugged, filled with Saguenay Fjord National Park is located in a remote part of Quebec. The park encompasses most of the coastline of Saguenay Fjord and it is located in the tourism regions of Côte-Nord, Charlevoix, and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Most visits to the park require a car, though driving from either Montreal or Quebec City is fairly straightforward. It boasts some other distinctions as well, one being the southernmost fjord in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also the only navigable and inhabited fjord in North America. Significant too is its accessibility, both from the St. Lawrence River and by land, located just 135 miles northeast of Québec City.
