Hairston has more than 30 years of experience working in public education in Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina. She has served as superintendent for Winston Salem/Forsyth Angela Hairston is currently the superintendent of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system in North Carolina. On December 1st, she will return to her hometown to lead Danville City Schools During the Danville City School Board meeting Thursday night, CFO Andrea Gillus presented Superintendent Dr. Angela Hairston's budget for the 2025 school year.
