Active as both a scholar and performer, she has studied the performing arts of India since 1992; she trained with the legendary Ustad Ali Akbar Khan (Hindustani vocal music and the ‪Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology, University of Denver‬ - ‪‪Cited by 95‬‬ The musicology program at Lamont offers students specializing in either musicology or ethnomusicology the opportunity to explore historical, social and analytical perspectives on global music.
