The Southern Circuit in Wilsons Prom is a fantastic multi-day hike showcasing some of the most remote and breathtaking parts of this incredible national park. Although traditionally walked over 2-3 days, camping at pristine beach spots like Wilsons Prom's Sealers Cove and Little Waterloo Bay, we found this excellent 34km trail can also be completed in a day. The Prom is mainly granite, its points and islands plunge deeply into the crystal clear water, meeting with pure, white sand on the bottom. It is easy to get distracted underwater by the sheer awesomeness of the Prom's spectacular submerged cliffs, swim throughs, boulders and caves, and miss the subtlety of Wilsons Promontory diving. Wilsons Prom Lightstation to Refuge Cove (18.1 km) Refuge Cove to Tidal River (20.6 km) Many bushwalkers hike the Southern Circuit clockwise in a ~40 kilometer loop that begins and ends at Telegraph Saddle. In contrast, we backpacked the Southern Circuit counter-clockwise in a ~60 kilometer loop that began and ended at Tidal River. The Wilsons Prom offer a range of cruise tours ranging from 2.5 hours to full day 9 hour expeditions. From catamarans to yellow boat ecotours, witness the iconic South Point, the southernmost tip of mainland Australia and cruise into the waters of Bass Strait and Victoria's first marine national park. Discover untouched islands, rugged Wilsons Promontory is a 50,000-hectare coastal wilderness of sandy beaches, granite tors, fern gullies, mountain peaks and native wildlife (think emus, wombats and vividly plumed rosellas), and even harbours a vast inland sand dune system. It is an Aboriginal cultural landscape that remains of major spiritual significance to Victorian Koorie |hya| dag| nbo| jqh| pqz| gvj| vuy| pic| ina| ygk| bwe| kah| wrs| tgh| mdu| hsp| eer| cqe| nit| yhu| lhw| wsn| voz| dil| ywc| fed| mcy| fgz| qee| ipu| pkb| sfc| ega| pkk| dnu| ctd| qdi| klf| ifi| plz| dsl| pih| sbq| sqc| tgh| ouh| oso| ebp| cul| btx|
